International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study of the interactions between countries and the various entities that operate on the global stage, including international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and multinational corporations. It encompasses a broad range of topics, including diplomacy, conflict resolution, trade, international law, human rights, and global governance. The discipline examines how states and other actors pursue their interests, influence one another, and respond to global challenges. Key theories in international relations include realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theories, each offering different perspectives on power dynamics, cooperation, and the role of international institutions. IR seeks to understand the complexities of global affairs and the factors that shape the behavior of various actors in the international system.
