Activism

Activism is the pursuit of social or political change through various forms of advocacy, campaigning, and action. It involves individuals or groups taking deliberate steps to promote, impede, or direct social, economic, environmental, or political transformation. Activism can manifest in numerous ways, including protests, demonstrations, lobbying, public speaking, community organizing, and digital campaigns. It is often aimed at raising awareness of issues such as human rights, environmental protection, social justice, and political reform. Activists may work within existing systems to create change or challenge those systems to address perceived injustices or imbalances of power. The underlying goal of activism is to mobilize people and resources to influence public opinion, affect policy decisions, and promote equity and justice in society.
